Pfc Albert G. Cartier attended high school for one year and was a production worker, employed by the Winter Bros Company before he enlisted in Boston, Massachusetts on 22 December 1943.

He was reported severely wounded in action by artillery shell fragments in the kidneys and vertebrae. On 20 March 1945 he died of his wounds. The exact date when he was reported wounded in action and the location where he died, is not known.
