Pfc Herbert L. Walker was a haul filler employed at the Langdale Mill.

He enlisted at Fort McClellan, Alabama on 22 November 1942.

On 23 November 1944 in the vicinity of a roadblock on the Nayemont-les-Fosses road to Saales, Pfc Walker was killed in action by artillery shell fragments to his abdomen.
