Pfc Talmadge J. Kimmer was a textile production worker.

He enlisted at Camp Croft, South Carolina on 21 October 1943.

In June 1944, he was wounded in Italy by artillery shell fragments to his ankle.

He was wounded again by artillery shell fragments, this time to his wrist, in October 1944 while in France and hospitalized until November.
