Pvt Edward Conley was employed by the Coca Cola Bottling Works.

He enlisted in Huntington, West Virginia on 15 May 1943.

In May 1944, he was wounded in action in Italy by small arms fire to his arm. In August he was wounded again in France by artillery shell fragments to his arm and buttocks.

He was killed by artillery shell fragments to his head and thorax.
