Pfc Joseph Pinto was a mechanic, employed at the Haddenfield Chevrolet Company.

He enlisted in Camden, New Jersey on 25 September 1943.

In January 1945, he was wounded in action by artillery shell fragments to his colon. He died of his wounds on the 17th of January.
