Pfc Daniel J. Grant graduated from Northeast Catholic High School in 1939 and was employed by the ITE Current Breaker Company.

He enlisted in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 1 November 1942. He was sent overseas on 28 February 1943.

He was killed by artillery shell fragments in the thorax.
