2nd Lt Albert J. Tetreault graduated from Brunswick High School and attended college for one year before he was employed at the Pratt and Whitney Co.

He enlisted In Hartford, Connecticut on 13 March 1943 and was sent overseas in September 1943.

On 17 May 1944, he was wounded in action in Anzio, Italy by small arms fire at his knee for which he was hospitalized until July.

Leader of a patrol team in Italy, 2nd Lt Tetreault exposed himself for fifteen minutes to intense grazing machine gun fire and 50 mm mortar fire when he left the safety of a shell hole and crawled forward to reach a seriously wounded comrade whom he dragged to safety. He was awarded with a Bronze Sta rMedal for this action.

He was awarded the Silver Star Medal for his actions on 15 August 1944, in France.

He was killed by sniper fire.
