T/5 Clarence C. Curtin attended the Grand Island Senior High School.

He joined the Regular Army on 1 June 1939 and had training at Camp Pickett, Virginia and was sent overseas in October 1942.

In October 1944 he was severely wounded in action by artillery shell fragments in his lung. He died of his wounds on 11 October 1944. The exact location is not known.
