Pvt Albert E. Whittington was a farmhand.He enlisted in Seattle, Washington on 18 August 1944.
He was awarded the Silver Star Medal posthumously for his actions on 16 March 1945 in the vicinity of Neualtheim - Riesweiler, Germany.
He was killed by artillery shell fragments to his head.
He is also remembered at the Whittington Cemetery.
