Pfc Morris L. Trotter worked on a family farm before he enlisted at Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia on 6 February 1942 and he arrived in Italy on 5 January 1944.

On 14 September 1944 he died of wounds caused by artillery shell fragments in the abdomen and thorax. The exact location is not known.
