Pfc Arturs R. Eglitz attended high school for three years and was employed by the Thor & Eckert Inc. before.

He enlisted in New York City, New York on 5 February 1943.

In September 1944, he was wounded in action in France by artillery shell fragments in the buttock and hip.

He was killed by small arms fire.
