S/Sgt Theodore V. Schepkowski attended high school for four years and was a foreman employed by the Champagne Paper Corporation.

He enlisted at Camp Croft, South Carolina on 28 December 1943.

For his actions on 16 January in the vicinity of La Baroche, France he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal.
