S/Sgt Stanley P. Barys was an attendant, employed by the Parker Wire Goods Co.

He enlisted at Fort Devens, Massachusetts on 26 March 1943.

S/Sgt Barys was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his actions on 24 April 1944 in Italy.

He was killed in action 20 November by artillery shell fragments in his arm.
