Pvt Samuel Pollack immigrated from England in 1939.

He was employed in the laundry of the Burk & Sons Inc.

He enlisted in New York City, New York on 24 August 1943 and was naturalized when he was stationed at Fort McClellan, Alabama on 14 December 1943.

He was killed by artillery shell fragments to his groin.
