Pfc Harold A. Schweitzer attended high school for one year and was an advertising agent, employed by the Foster & Stuwart Publishing Company.

He enlisted in Buffalo, New York on 15 September 1943.

In August 1944, he was reported wounded in action in France by artillery shell fragments in his thigh. After recovering he rejoined his unit.

He was killed by artillery shell fragments in his head and thorax.
