More information

S/Sgt Leonard Berg attended high school for two years and was a store keeper, employed by the Kearney and Trecker Corporation before he enlisted in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on 13 January 1943.

In August 1944, during the landing in Southern France, he was wounded when his landing boat was struck by a mine. He was hospitalized until September.

He was killed by small arms fire in the thorax.
