Pfc Donald H.C. Kressal was raised in West Palm Beach, Florida.

In 1942 he was employed at the Premium Vacuum Cleaner Company in Cleveland, Ohio.

He enlisted on 14 August 1942.

In March 1944 he was wounded in action in Italy by artillery shell fragments to his buttock and hip. He was hospitalized from March to April.

In November 1944 he was severly wounded by artillery shell fragments to his head. The exact date when he was reported wounded in action and the location where he died, is not known.
