Pfc Charles J. Friday attended high school for four years and was a checker employed by the S.M. Dye Mfg. Co.

He enlisted in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 27 July 1943 and was sent overseas in January 1944.

He was killed by small arms fire in the face.
