Pfc Francis P. Flynn attended East High School as Class of 1944 and was still a student when he enlisted in Syracuse, New York on 3 August 1943. He was sent to North Africa in February 1944.From May 1944 to June 1944, he was hospitalized in Italy for wounds at his arm caused by artillery shell fragments.
He was killed by small arms fire in the spinal cord.
