Pfc Floyd E. Williams enlisted in Bangor, Maine on 2 March 1943.

In January 1944, he was wounded in action in Italy by machine gun fire at the elbow. He was hospitalized until August. After he returned to his unit, he was wounded again by a land mine explosion in August 1944 and had to stay in the hospital until September.

He was killed by small arms fire in the neck and thigh.

Pfc Williams is remembered at Selden Cemetery in Weston, Aroostook County, Maine.
