Pfc Edward H. Bartel was employed by the Hunzinger Construction Co. at the Nash Motor Building Project when he was enlisted in October 1942.
On 9 March 1944, he arrived in Cassablanca, Algeria.
In October 1944, he was reported wounded in action in France by artillery shell fragments at his fingers.
