1st Lt Robert J. Eldridge Jr. attended Western Michigan College for four years.He enlisted in Kalamazoo, Michigan on 20 June 1942.
He joined A Company on 1 November 1944 and was soon severely wounded in action in the vicinity of Le Haut Jaques, France. He died of his wounds on 13 November. The exact location where he died of his wounds is not known.
