Pfc John R. Seltenright was a locomotive fireman, employed by Todd & Brown.

He enlisted in Indianapolis, Indiana on 5 Feb 1943.

On 3 November 1943, he was wounded in action in Casino, Italy by artillery shell fragments at the tibula. From March 1944 to June 1944 he was hopitalized again for wounds to his index finger caused by small arms fire.

He was killed by artillery shell fragments.
