Pvt Don C. Hollingsworth graduated from Ogallala High School in 1942 and was a farmhand.

He enlisted in Denver, Colorado on 17 August 1944 and had his training at Camp Hood, Texas and Fort Meade, Maryland.

He was killed by artillery shell fragments in his head.
