Pfc Thomas G. Shroyer enlisted on 29 June 1942.

In May 1944, in Italy, he was wounded by artillery shell fragments at the heel, hip and buttock. He was discharged from the hospital in July 1944.

In November 1944, in France, he was wounded again by artillery shell fragments at the elbow. He was discharged from the hospital in December.

Short after his discharge he was wounded again by artillery shell fragments at the elbow and arm. He was discharged from the hospital in February 1945.
