Pvt Severio P. Mincin attended high school for one year and was an unemployed mason before he enlisted in Altoona, Pennsylvania on 6 July 1942.He first served with the Coast Artillery for twenty-one months in the Aleutians. He returned to the Unite States in July 1944 and was sent to Europa after a six weeks infantry training.
He was killed by artillery shell fragments in the thigh.
