Pvt Charles E. Kleber attended high school for four years and was employed by the Spalding Fibre Company before he enlisted in Buffalo, New York on 25 July 1944.He died of wounds caused by artillery shell fragments in the abdomen. The exact date when he was reported wounded in action and the location where he died are not known.
