Pvt Edwin W. Hallstrom graduated from Garfield High School and attended 4 year of college. He was an inspector employed by the Pacific Fruit & Produce Co. before he enlisted in Seattle, Washington on 19 February 1944.
In November 1944, he was wounded in action by artillery shell fragments in the abdomen and intestine. He died of his wounds on 7 December 1944. The exact location is not known.
