Sgt Charles H. Johnson attended high school for four years and was an annealer employed by the Sterling Foundry before he enlisted in Cleveland, Ohio on 11 August 1943.In May 1944 he was wounded by artillery shell fragments at his fingers and his leg.
He was killed by small arms fire in the face and neck.
