Pfc John A. Carver graduated from Reagan High School in 1942 and was a checker, employed by the Houston Shipping Corporation.He enlisted in Houston, Texas on 11 May 1943.
In May 1944, in Italy, he was wounded by artillery shell fragments at the leg and elbow. In September 1944 he was discharged from the hospital.
He was killed by small arms fire in the thorax.
