Pfc Raymond P. Beck attended high school for two years and was a shipping clerk, employed by the Star Overall Co.

He enlisted in New York City, New York on 17 December 1943.

In January 1945 he was wounded by artillery shell fragments at his chin.

He was crushed by a friendly tank.
