Pfc Fred W. Palette attended three years at Brookfield High School and was a welder, employed by the Gen. Fire Eng. Co.He enlisted in Cleveland, Ohio on 21 August 1942.
In May 1944, in Italy, he was wounded in the face and cheek by aerial bomb fragments.
On 14 April 1945, he died of wounds caused by aerial bomb fragments in the thorax, abdomen and pelvis. The exact date when he was reported wounded in action and the location where he died is not known.
