Sgt Donald D. O’Brien attended Bellville High School for two years and was a production
worker before he enlisted at Fort Dix, New Jersey on 1 April 1944.

He was wounded by small arms fire in the ilium and later died of his wounds. The exact date when he was reported wounded in action and the location where he died is not known.
