Pfc Carl H. Maynard worked on a farm of Robert U. Scott before he enlisted in 1943.In June 1944 he was wounded in action at his fore arm by artillery shell fragments.
He was awarded the Silver Star Medal posthumously for his actions on the day of his death.
He was killed by artillery shell fragments.
