Pfc Juan Rangel married Pfc Anita L. Lopez on 1 November 1942.

He enlisted on 30 April 1943.

In February 1944, in Italy, he was wounded by artillery shell fragments in the leg. After recovering he rejoined his unit.

He was killed by artillery shell fragments.
