Pfc Michael T. Giblin emigrated from Ireland on 7 May 1928. He attended high school for four years and was a machinist before he enlisted in Newark, New Jersey on 12 January 1944.

In November 1944 he was wounded by artillery shell fragments in the shoulder. He was discharged from the hospital a month later.

He was killed by artillery shell fragments in the thorax.
