Pvt George T. Harrison was a chauffeur, employed by the New Jersey Bell Telephone Co. before he enlisted in Newark, New Jersey on 10 December 1943.He was wounded in action by small arms fire in the abdomen and later died of his wounds. The exact date when he was reported wounded in action and the location where he died, is not known.
