T/4 Eugene J. Pule attended Allegheny Vocational School and worked as a radioman before he enlisted in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on 21 January 1941. He was sent overseas in September 1943.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Solers, France.
