Cyril L. Rieck attended Reddick Community High School and he was a chauffeur, employed by Cloverleaf Freight Lines in Detroit.He enlisted at Camp Grant, Illinois on 27 March 1942 and was sent overseas in November 1943.
He was previously reported slightly wounded on 12 Jan 1945 in Belgium and had returned to his unit two days before he was killed.
