Pfc Richard F. Neff enlisted in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on 25 August 1944.

He worked in slaughtering and in preparation of meat products before he enlisted.

He died in the vicinity Morfelden, Germany of gunshot wounds. He shot himself accidentally.
