T/4 Earl R. Lazore enlisted at Fort Devens, Massachusetts on 7 January 1942. He worked in construction before he enlisted. He had been overseas for a year.

A half-track and three M5A1 Stuart light tanks were send out to find two trucks of B Company of the 23rd Armored Engineer Combat Battalion who were missing since the day before. An official message had been received which stated that Earl was killed in action on the date he previously was reported missing in action.

He is remembered at the Saint Paul Congregational Cemetery in Saint Francis, Aroostook County, Maine.
