Pfc Juan J. Abeyta worked for the State Highway Department.He enlisted on 10 February 1942 in Espanola, New Mexico and trained at Camp Polk, Louisiana, Camp Picket, Virginia and Indian Gap Town in Pennsylvania. He was shipped overseas on 22 August 1943 and send from England into France on 30 June 1944.
