Pfc Floyd L. Good entered the service on 2 December 1941 and trained at Camp Polk, Louisiana, received desert training in California, and further training at Camp Pickett in Virginia and Indiantown Gap in Pennsylvania. He was sent overses on 5 September 1943.

He served 40 months and was engaged in Normandy, Northern France, Germany and the Battle of the Bulge in Belgium.
