Cpl Leslie F. Pourney was employed at Patten-Tully Construction Company.

He enlisted on 25 January 1942 and was sent overseas in September 1942.

He was wounded in action on 20 September 1944 and returned to duty in December 1944. For this wound Cpl Pourney was awarded the Purple Heart Medal a first time.
