Philip Trask graduated from Beverly High School in 1925 and followed his elder brother Everett in studying at Bentley School of Accounting and Finance in Boston.He was married to Teresa Sheehan in 1941.
He enlisted in January 1944.
He was reported wounded in action in September 1944, for which he was awarded the Purple Heart medal a first time. After recovering he rejoined his unit in November 1944.
