Pvt Mike (Michael) M. Picchiello was employed by the Bakelite Corporation before he enlisted in Newark, New Jersey on 28 December 1943

He was taken prisoner on 23 December 1944 and died of his injuries in Germany. Whether he died in a POW camp or in a hospital is not known.
