Pfc Harry W. Ott was given up for adoption as a young baby. He lived at the Children's Home Society of Missouri until July 1918 when Herman and Bertha Ott adopted him as their son. They named him Harry William and he was their only child.He enlisted in the autumn of 1941 and was sent overseas in August 1943.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Fosse, Belgium.
