S/Sgt. John S. Elcisak was a plant manager at the Artcraft Handkerchief Manufacturing Company in Passaic.He enlisted at Fort Dix, New Jersey on 3 February 1942. He was sent overseas in August 1943.
He was reported wounded in action in July 1944 in Normandy. After recovering he rejoined his unit.
