T/Sgt Elmer C. Scherrer enlisted on 11 July 1941. Before his enlistment, he was working as a printer.He was killed in his jeep, together with his best friend Pfc Willie L. Elam. They were both buried at the temporary American Cemetery at Fosses-La-Ville Block L, Row 10, Grave 200 in 1947, they were given a final resting place at Henri-Chapelle.
