A native of Pennsylvania, he moved to Rochester from Scranton about seven years ago. He joined the Army a year ago and was sent overseas about three months later.
He married Anne Slizis on 23 October 1934 in Scranton, Pennsylvania. His daughter Mary Lou was four years old at the time of his death.
